Name field format

Attio's personal name attribute stores a first and last name. On your form you can decide how much of that to collect and how the inputs are laid out.

Choosing a format

1. Open a personal name field in the field editor.
2. Find the Name Format setting.
3. Pick one:

Format	What the respondent sees
First + Last name	Two separate inputs (default).
First name only	A single input for the first name.
Last name only	A single input for the last name.
Full name (single input)	One input for the whole name, split into first/last on save.

The helper text notes: "Controls which name fields are shown on the form."

Notes

• Whatever format you choose, the value is still written to Attio's structured name attribute.
• Available on all plans.
